Discover the eleven historic cities – and don’t miss the charming village of Makkum itself. Cycle past sheep along the dike. Meander through old lanes lined with historic houses and façades that whisper stories. Claim a sunny terrace with views of bobbing boats. Everywhere, there’s a taste of the local: artisan ice cream in a converted farmhouse, cheese from next door, craft beer brewed just around the corner. All sprinkled with plenty of contemporary boutiques.

In our luxury amenities block, five-star comfort is the standard. Spotless hygiene is our first priority and there’s even a dishwasher and a play area for the little ones.
Right next to the campsite, you’ll find a little nature reserve - perfect for a stroll among birds and trees.
Bringing your dog? They can roam free here and even take a refreshing dip at the dog-friendly beaches!
Rain shower over the campsite? Cozy vibes! In our Garden Room with a shared kitchen, you’re always in the right place. This is where holiday friends meet – or at least where you’ll have a friendly chat. Pull up a chair!
Time to switch off and simply enjoy. At Beauty Corner Makkum, right on our central square, indulge in a soothing massage, a beauty treatment, a touch of sparkle on your nails – and a generous dose of feel-good vibes.
Don’t feel like cooking? We get it! On and around our campsite, you’ll find no fewer than six restaurants for a bite to eat or a sunny terrace. Breakfast, lunch, drinks, or dinner – treat yourself any time of day.
The supermarket on our central square offers a complete and varied range of everyday essentials at normal prices.
Your holiday feeling starts every day at 8:00 a.m. with the smell of fresh rolls and croissants.
